This past Saturday, my wife and I had a chance to finally enjoy some food we almost never get a chance to out in the 'burbs - food trucks! About 40 food trucks converged on a few baseball fields for a food truck festival.

It was a cold, rainy, snowy day (ok, maybe still warm by the standards of the north ^_~), but we both had a lot of fun. Atleast half of the food trucks served some form of vegetarian food (all of which was fairly reasonably priced) and we ultimately chomped down on:

Fry Smith - We got an order of sweet potato vegetarian chili fries which were very filling
Border Grill Food Truck - We got an order of Cumin Fries which were amazing (and are going to try and make these at home for ourselves). I wish I had the stomach room to try out some of their other dishes but my wife and I will probably make our way down to Santa Monica to check out their restaurant.
India Jones - We got a Paneer Frankie and a Sweet Chili Naan. I really enjoyed the paneer frankie (their wrap was very well made) but was equally disappointed in their Sweet Chili Naan. So definitely a hit an miss - I suppose it is best to stick to their 'features' :)
No Tomatoes - This was another indian food truck where we had their Paneer Kathi Roll and the Paneer Tikka Masala. Ultimately, while we enjoyed the Frankie at India Jones, this kathi roll really filled up our 'grease' factor for the day and can safely say its one of the better kathi rolls we have enjoyed from out there, period. The Paneer Tikka Masala was equally delicious and safe to say, my wife and I look forward to eating from their truck again (hopefully sometime soon).

All in all, a fun day, good food (and good dinner), and didn't break my wallet.
